WELDING & METAL FABRICATION
NACTEC’s welding program introduces students to a variety of metal fusion processes. Two-week intensive course offerings include: Oxy-fuel Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, Shielded Metal Arc Welding and Metal Fabrication. Students begin with safety and basic techniques with each welding process and thereafter a project-oriented approach leads to the fabrication of metals projects. The Flux Core Arc Welding process is used for village-based welding delivery with projects such as a tandem axle wagon, as viewed here.
